About

Rufina Natusch studied at the Royal College of Art, where she has also taught as a Guest Lecturer on the MA Textiles programme. She works from her studio in London, and her clients include international buyers for both corporate and private collections.

Natusch's practice is focused on our relationship and perception of the space around us, how we choose to use or build to encompass it, and our representation of space in art. Her work is often made to be seen from multiple viewpoints, inviting the viewer to respond to it from different perspectives. Natusch thinks of colour as a framework to help navigate and narrate the sensory experience, augmenting our encounters with space and ultimately what the passing of time may mean to each of us.

"I consider space to be a material. The articulation of space has come to take precedence over other concerns. I attempt to use sculptural form to make space distinct."  - Richard Serra, 1938-2024
